The Lake

A jewel of unspoilt nature in the Aube, offering an exceptional carp fishing experience in wild yet secure surroundings.

A rich and unspoilt
ecosystem

Fullys Lake, a magnificent 10.5-hectare (26-acre) gravel pit, is the fulfilment of a long-held dream. Passionate about fishing and nature since childhood, I had always dreamt of running my own lake, and when the opportunity arose in 2019 there was no hesitation! I instantly fell in love with this turquoise-blue water surrounded by lush vegetation, creating a magnificent contrast of colours through the warmer months.

Ideally located in the Aube

In a department famous for the renowned Lac de la Forêt d'Orient, this former quarry, worked for gravel extraction between 2000 and 2015, offered real potential to create something truly special.

Having always had a particular fondness for unusual fish — fully scaled, linear, koi and ghost carp — as well as very big fish in general, we have worked in that direction to build a unique stock, including fish of up to 37.5 kg (82 lb 11 oz)!

The Swims

We have chosen to limit the lake to just 6 swims. Of these 6 swims, there are 2 double swims and 4 single swims, and angler numbers are capped at 8 per week.

The average depth of the lake varies with the seasons, fluctuating between 3.30 m early in the season and 2.30 m in summer. The bottom is fairly uniform but offers localised features such as plateaus, small holes and other drop-offs.

The lakebed is varied, mostly clay and loam, but you will also find lovely gravel patches, sandy areas and a few pockets of silt.
