The Fish Stock
Fully's Lake holds an exceptional stock of fish, the result of several years of work. We set out to create a unique venue where the beauty of the fish matches that of the lake and its surroundings.

A stock made up
of many big and beautiful fish
In 2019, when we took over the lake, the original stock consisted of a lot of small fish. Those original fish were 100% unusual carp (fully scaled, linear and big-scaled mirrors), but their genetics were limited and they were not putting on weight.
So every year we introduced numerous batches of fish, carefully selected from fish farms across several regions of France (Dombes, Brenne, Grand-Est and more). Each stocking was planned well in advance, always with the aim of enhancing the stock for the future, and we focused mainly on unusual fish with the genetics needed to grow into big carp. Time has done its work and the lake now holds a substantial stock with many big and beautiful fish.
The stock currently numbers around 600 fish
averaging over 15 kg (33 lb), including:
- Around 430 carp up to 37.5 kg (82 lb 11 oz)
- Around 80 koi carp up to 20 kg (44 lb 1 oz)
- Around 90 grass carp up to 30 kg (66 lb 2 oz)
- 1 albino grass carp of 15 kg (33 lb 1 oz)
- 1 silver carp of 40 kg (88 lb 3 oz)
There are also a few tench, along with roach, rudd, perch and pike.
No wels catfish, no bream, no bullheads.
